Ghostbusters: Afterlife easily took the crown from Marvel Studios’ Eternals with a strong weekend box office debut. Sony is looking towards the upcoming holiday week to drum up more box office cash for the latest installment in the Ghostbusters franchise, and after a strong opening in the heartland, it looks like more and more families will be visiting movie theaters to celebrate Thanksgiving. Many schools in North America will have the entire week off, which will undoubtedly lead to more box office wins for Sony. As of this writing, Ghostbusters: Afterlife has earned $60 million globally.
