As far as Sam Raimi was concerned, it wasn't a Spider-Man movie without a special appearance from The Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell. In Raimi's first Spider-Man film, Campbell played a pro wrestling ring announcer who introduced Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) for his match against Bonesaw McGraw (Randy Savage). Though Peter wanted to be introduced as "The Human Spider," Campbell instead announced him as "The Amazing Spider-Man." Obviously, the name would stick, and Peter's alter-ego was Spider-Man from that point forward.
