Although there is currently no release date set for Anthony Mackie’s first solo movie as Captain America, the actor has revealed that shooting on the film is ready to start in the next few weeks. Mackie’s Sam Wilson was originally given the shield of Steve Rogers in the final scenes of Avengers: Endgame, but it was only after events of Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that Sam finally acknowledged his new role as the MCU's new Captain America. Now it looks like it isn’t too long until work begins on his next big story.
