Director Brett Morgen has released the first trailer for Moonage Daydream, about late music legend David Bowie. This release comes hours before the documentary's scheduled premiere at the Cannes Film Festival’s Midnight Screenings section. The feature length film, described as a "cinematic odyssey" and "immersive experience", relies on never-before-seen footage, performances, interviews and music to tell the tale of Bowie's artistic and spiritual journey. It is the first documentary that has received the Bowie estate's approval.
