Mark Ruffalo has been a prominent member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, first appearing as Bruce Banner and his Hulk counterpart in The Avengers (2012). He took over the role from Edward Norton following his portrayal in The Incredible Hulk, which resulted in the behind-the-scenes drama between the actor and Marvel Studios. Ruffalo has since been unproblematic for Disney and the MCU, becoming synonymous with his role and constantly appearing in different films despite not having a solo movie for himself.
