As reported by ScreenRant, star Halle Bailey recently spoke with Edition about filming the live-action remake of Disney's The Little Mermaid and revealed that she sometimes spent 13 hours in the water while shooting scenes for the movie. As noted by the outlet, the upcoming Disney film is a retelling of the 1989 animated classic. While chatting with Edition, the actor noted that there were times when filming became challenging for the star. However, Bailey stated that her character Ariel inspired her to keep going.
