After nine seasons of playing Barry Allen in the Arrowverse, Grant Gustin will say goodbye to the role in the upcoming series finale of The Flash on The CW. Meanwhile, another incarnation of the speedy superhero will soon be racing to theaters as well, as the movie version of The Flash will be premiering in theaters less than a month after the final episode of the TV show airs. Given the close proximity of these events, Gustin admits in a new interview (via TVLine) that it feels a bit "weird" having the film's release "looming the whole time," finally getting its long-delayed release almost immediately after his own run in the role is wrapping up.
