Disney’s The Little Mermaid is expected to be one of the biggest movies of the year, and projections for the opening weekend of the latest live-action remake from the House of Mouse are starting to show just how big it could be. Having gained more attention online than any of Disney’s recent releases, The Little Mermaid is now looking to take upwards of $125 million domestically, which would make it the third-highest opening of any Disney live-action reimagining behind The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.
