Scream franchise star Liev Schreiber wrapped up his run in the series with Scream 3, playing a key role in the original trilogy. He was in the first movie briefly as Cotton Weary, a man who was wrongfully accused and serving prison time for the murder of Maureen Prescott, the mother of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). Cotton played a much bigger part in the plot of Scream 2, which even saw him reuniting with Sidney to take down the new Ghostface. Unfortunately, his luck ran out at the start of Scream 3, as the film opens with the murders of Cotton and his girlfriend Christine (Kelly Rutherford).
