Wayne’s World is a movie that has always had some myths and rumors about its development and production that have lingered on without being confirmed one way or the other. One such rumour centered on director Penelope Spheeris, who is said to have had some serious clashes with star Mike Myers and producer Lorne Michaels during the filming of the movie. Spheeris, who did not return to work on Wayne’s World 2, has now admitted that while the shoot itself was not perfect, it was actually when the final edits of the film were being put together that the issues started.
