A new inside look at Killers of the Flower Moon provides more insight into one of the film's villains. Portrayed by Robert De Niro, William Hale was a ruthless cattleman involved in the real-life tragedy of the Osage nation murders. After discovering petroleum on Osage land, the tribe became affluent, and conspirators would stop at nothing to strip them of their land. As the clip, released by Rotten Tomatoes, shows, Hale encourages his nephew Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio) to marry Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), a full-blood Osage, to get her family shares of the oil profits. Gladstone calls Hale "an enigmatic presence in Osage country," while DiCaprio adds that Hale "wanted to take advantage of the situation at all costs." Check out the clip below.
