Today, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is sadly a shell of its former self. The MCU thrived during its first three phases in cinemas which ran from 2008 until 2019. And Marvel’s on-screen empire peaked with a string of billion-dollar successes culminating with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame eclipsing $2 billion each at the box office. Since then, the MCU has experienced its share of big-screen blunders. And despite the follow-up failures, Disney CEO Bog Iger doesn’t have any interest in apologizing for producing too many sequels. Iger said at The New York Times (NYT) DealBook Summit 2023 (per Deadline):
