Part meta and part reboot, the new Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers movie is pretty unique from Disney's other live-action remakes. The film imagines famous cartoon characters as they'd be in the real world, as the titular Disney rodents are now the washed-up versions of the superstars they were decades prior with the original cartoon series. The nature of this storyline has also allowed for special appearances of various other well-known animated characters, and given the recent success of the Sonic the Hedgehog films, it was no surprise to see the titular speedster show up for a cameo.
