It was announced today that iconic comedienne Pat Carroll, who became best known later in life for giving a voice to Ursula the sea witch in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, has died at the age of 95. The star, who was a constant TV presence from the 1950s through to the end of the 1980s, passed away at home after suffering from pneumonia, as was reported by Deadline.

On Friday, popular TV and Gujarati actor Rasik Dave breathed his last at 8pm in Mumbai. He is survived by his wife and popular actress Ketki Dave, who is known for her role of Daksha in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, as well as their two kids. He, reportedly, passed away due to kidney related issues and has been suffering from the same for the past couple of months.
As per ETimes report, Rasik Dave was on dialysis for the past two years. According to them, his kidney condition had started deteriorating and his condition worsened in the last one month. His last rites are expected to be held on July 30. Popularly known for his character as Nand in B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat, the actor also has done TV serials. He also gained popularity for playing the patriarch of the Vaishnav family, Karsandas Vaishnav, in the show Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki.
Speaking about his wife Ketki Dave, the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actress, too is known for her work in Gujarati cinema and theatre. The couple is expected to even own a Gujarati theatre company.

A little while back it was reported that Ranveer Singh had shelled out a staggering Rs. 119 cr to acquire a sea-view quadruplex apartment in Bandra. Now it is learnt that Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha too have shelled out a whopping Rs.44 cr to acquire a new property. As per reports, Rao and Patralekha have acquired a triplex apartment in Juhu, from none other than Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor.
The latter who purchased the property in December 2020, which is spread over 3,456 sq ft, has apparently sold the same to Rao taking the price to nearly Rs.1.27 lakh per sq ft. With this new acquisition, Rao and Patralekha, who currently reside in the same development on the 11th and 12th floors, will have an added apartment across the 14th, 15th, and 16th floors. If that was not enough, reports also claim that Rao has shelled out Rs.2.19 crores as registration for the said triplex apartment which comes with exclusive access to six parking slots.
Though there has been no confirmation from either side about the sale and purchase of the premium triplex apartment, the said deal was apparently registered on July 21, 2022.

The long-gestating Amy Winehouse biopic may have finally found its lead. Per Variety, the biopic, dubbed Back to Black, was developed with the intention of casting a newcomer to play Winehouse in the film rather than going with a famous pop star. Reportedly, Marisa Aribel (Industry) has risen as the frontrunner for the role. Talks are said to be underway and the casting has not yet been made official.

In Steven Spielberg’s 1985 film The Goonies, kids who lived in the “Goon Docks” neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon, armed themselves with a map and went on a desperate search for legendary pirate One-Eyed Willy’s long-lost treasure. This past June, a team of volunteers unearthed over 20 pieces of wood in a cave off the Oregon coast that actually turned out to be wreckage from a Spanish galleon called the Santo Cristo de Burgos, also known as the Beeswax Wreck. Coincidentally, Steven Spielberg was so fascinated by the Spanish galleon that he set The Goonies in Astoria, Oregon, where remnants of the wreck have washed ashore for centuries.
Madonna discussed the status of her upcoming biopic in a recent interview with Variety. Madonna shared that she is still working on the script and "whittling away at it," comparing the process of shortening her life story to hacking off limbs. Titled Little Sparrow, the biopic will tell the singer's personal story from her perspective. The current script details Madonna's meteoric rise to fame from her early performances to the Blond Ambition Tour in 1990, but that may evolve.

Followed by that, she was asked about Tiger Shroff to which the actress wittily answered with a hint towards Disha Patani adding, ”He knows his Disha. His directions are quite clear.” When asked about Janhvi Kapoor, the Gehraiyaan actress maintained, “she is a single pringle.” Finally when he questioned about Kiara Advani, Ananya Panday referred to the song she featured with Sidharth Malhotra saying, “Her raatans are very lambiyan” When Karan prodded further by asking who is her 'Ranjha', Ananya just hissed. But Karan completed her sentence adding, ‘Wake Up Sid’, to which Ananya nodded in agreement.

As for the rest of the game, it ended with a tie between Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda, While Vijay ended up calling on Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the celebrity calling round, Ananya followed up the Kartik call with another call to Janhvi Kapoor, who was on the sets of Bawaal. So she ended up making Karan talk to Janhvi and Varun, thereby winning extra points. Their tie breaker was the question – ‘Who was the leading lady of Maine Pyar Kiya’. The production team of hit TVING show Yumi’s Cells, starring Kim Go Eun, GOT7 member Jinyoung, and Ahn Bo Hyun, has responded to fans’ high expectations for another season. The show recently concluded its season 2 last week with an open and emotional ending.
As Soompi notes, Yumi’s Cells is a fantasy romance drama based on the popular webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi, from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. Kim Go Eun plays the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings.
The first season of Yumi’s Cells, aired in autumn 2021, became the first K-drama ever to combine live action and 3D animation. As the report shares, on July 26, a source from the drama stated, “We’re thankful that viewers have expectations for season 3 as much as they have loved season 1 and 2. The second season has just ended, and the seasons require long production time, so the production team needs to take a break first. Season 3 will be discussed after that.”

Marvel Studios laid out an exciting future at San Diego Comic-Con, revealing a number of new projects heading to both Disney+ and movie theaters through 2025. One film that fans already knew about going into Comic-Con was Fantastic Four, but Kevin Feige did have some new information to share about the highly anticipated MCU entry. Feige announced Fantastic Four will serve as the starting point of Phase 6 and is set to premiere Nov. 8, 2024. The Marvel boss also spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about how the studio is hoping to bring Marvel's First Family into the MCU in a unique way:
Paramount recently released the official trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, inspired by the fantasy role-playing game franchise and featuring Chris Pine leading an ensemble cast. The new trailer was debuted during the film's panel at San Diego Comic-Con ahead of its theatrical debut next year on March 3, 2023. While at the convention, the movie's filmmakers also teased its tone in a chat with Collider.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is well known to have had a number of alternative and deleted scenes, but star Xochitl Gomez has revealed how extensive reshoots completely changed one important aspect of the movie’s opening. The movie is currently the second highest-grossing movie of the year and looks like it will retain its title as the highest-grossing Marvel of 2022, with Thor lagging a little at the box office. The fifth Avengers film, and one of the last chapters of Phase 6 of the MCU, has found its director. The Hollywood Reporter is revealing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton will be helming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, set to be released May 2, 2025. The Kang Dynasty will be one of two Avengers films released in 2025, as Kevin Feige revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that Avengers: Secret Wars will be arriving just six months after its predecessor on Nov. 7. Plot and casting details are being kept close to the vest by Feige and Marvel Studios, with Cretton's hiring being the biggest update either film has received since officially being announced on Saturday.
Brendan Fraser is set to star in the latest Darren Aronofsky film, The Whale. The director is known for his previous work on Requiem for a Dream, Black Swam, and Mother!. Fraser rose to stardom with his take on Rick O' Connell in the early 2000s The Mummy films; however, the actor has appeared in over 50 movies spanning over three decades.
After barely surviving the events of The Gray Man, Sierra Six will be back for another action-packed mission. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is moving forward with a sequel to one of the most expensive films ever produced by the streamer. Joe and Anthony Russo are set to return to direct the follow-up, which will be written by Stephen McFeely, who helped pen the script of the first film. In front of the camera, Ryan Gosling will be reprising the role of Sierra Six, but no other casting details are known at this time. Given that Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Rege-Jean Page, and Julia Butters all made it out of the first film, any one of their characters is fair game to appear in the sequel.
The domestic box office is on a hot streak as it continues to recover from the impacts the peak of the pandemic had on the film industry. According to box office tracking site The Numbers, the combined gross of this past weekend's top ten films was more than $100 million, the ninth straight weekend with those types of numbers. The last time the box office had a run that long was the fall of 2019, beginning in October with Joker's $96 million opening weekend. Movie theaters were filled with such films as Abominable, It: Chapter Two, Downton Abbey, and Hustlers at that time, providing a wide variety of different offerings to audiences of all ages.
Salman Khan recently left everyone surprised with his entry on stage during the Vikrant Rona event. The superstar, who is presenting this Kichcha Sudeepa, Jacqueline Fernandez starrer, made an interesting revelation while interacting with the media. During the conversation with media, the superstar may have announced that he would kick off No Entry 2 after wrapping up Bhaijaan.
While many actors in the past have revealed details about No Entry sequel including director Anees Bazmee, it was also being said that considering the work commitments of Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor, it was getting tough to adjust the shoot schedules. Although Anees Bazmee had revealed in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, that Salman may be considering kicking off No Entry 2 in December, it seems that the superstar used the Vikrant Rona event platform to drop a major hint about starting the shoot for the comedy.
He not only invited Anees Bazmee to the Vikrant Rona event but also added, “Yahan par aise writer director baite hain… Rs.100 100 crore ki hit de raha hai aadmi, woh bhi comedy mein… kal No Entry Mein bhi deyega … 300 crore.” (There is a writer-director here… he is giving Rs. 100 100 crore hits, and that too in comedy. He will give one with No Entry too. It will be Rs. 300 crores). His statement seems to have become an affirmation of sorts where it is being said that the actor will kick off the Anees Bazmee directorial No Entry 2 (Sequel) as soon as he finishes the shoot of Bhaijaan (Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali).

Coming to Vikrant Rona, readers would be aware that it is a multi-lingual fantasy adventure drama starring Kichcha Sudeepa as the leading man along with Jacqueline Fernandez and other actors playing pivotal roles. The Hindi dubbed version of the film will be distributed by Salman under his banner Salman Khan Films. Besides Hindi and its original Kannada, the Anup Bhandari directorial will also release in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

In fact, it’s been reported that the actor is in the U.K. busy filming season 3 of the fantasy drama The Witcher. The British star helped launch the DCEU debut in 2013’s Man of Steel, but unlike Justice League members Aquaman, Batman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman, Superman was not confirmed to appear in any upcoming DCEU titles. That’s not to say Warner Bros. doesn’t have any future Superman plans or projects in development.
Even before any official footage has been released, the new Barbie movie has its fair share of critics, but Ryan Gosling isn’t taking criticisms of his portrayal of Ken lying down. Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Late Rajkumar Barjatya and Ajit Kumar Barjatya of Rajshri have joined forces with Mahaveer Jain of Mahaveer Jain Films and Natasha Malpani Oswal of Boundless Media as producers for this ambitious project.
Uunchai finished its principal shooting earlier this year. The film was extensively shot in Nepal, Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Lucknow and Kanpur. It marks director Sooraj R. Barjatya’s return to the big screen after 7 years. Like all Rajshri films, taking the legacy of wholesome entertainment forward, Uunchai promises to be a complete family entertainer.
After teasing the announcement on Sunday, filmmaker Karan Johar has officially announced Screw Dheela starring Tiger Shroff in the lear role with speculations around Rashmika Mandanna cast opposite him. The film is being helmed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions.
Karan on Monday took to social media to make the announcement and wrote, "Arriving with a solid punch of entertainment, super excited to present Tiger Shroff in #ScrewDheela, directed by Shashank Khaitan in an all new world of action!!!💥" The video was Tiger Shroff flaunting his action skills fighting some goons.

A source close to Bollywood Hungama earlier revealed that the film will be shot in India and abroad with the first schedule expected to kick off in Europe. Both Tiger and Rashmika will be a part of this schedule. "It's not one of those run of the mill actioner but has a strong story too and falls in the zone that Tiger has not explored before. The film will be released by mid 2023," the source further told us. A big ensemble, including the antagonist, is in the process of being cast for Screw Dheela.
Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff has Baaghi 4 with Ahmed Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will star in Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan, Mission Majnu and Animal. Shashank Khaitan is directing Bedhadak starring Shanaya Kapoor, Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada.
Dharma Productions' other films in the pipeline include Liger, Brahmastra, Govinda Naam Mera, Mr. Aur Mrs. Mahi and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Aamir Khan is a marketing genius, holding the cards close to his chest until the release of his films. As the countdown for Laal Singh Chaddha has begun, we have exclusively learnt that Aamir has signed a mega deal with the biggest national chain of India, PVR, to obtain optimum showcasing at the property across the country. According to our sources, Laal Singh Chaddha will be getting over 65 percent of the showcasing at PVR, leaving just 35 percent for the competitor, Raksha Bandhan.
"Aamir has partnered with PVR. It's a barter deal, and in the process, he will end up getting a major chunk of showcasing at PVR cinemas in India. The national chain controls nearly 55 percent of the total multiplex business in India, and with this move, Aamir will have an upper hand on the showcasing front to start with," revealed a source to Bollywood Hungama.
However, team Raksha Bandhan is unfazed by this move of Mr. Perfectionist. "Raksha Bandhan team is well aware of their target audience. While Laal Singh Chaddha is more of an urban film, Raksha Bandhan caters to the rural belts and hence, Zee Studios is focusing more on getting the showcasing in single screens of India. By the time of release, though the overall showcasing will be in favour of Laal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan too, will have enough shows as an opportunity to become a hit," the source added.
It's going to be a clash of titans, with two AK's battling it out to emerge a winner. However, the target isn't the same for both the films. While the Aamir Khan starrer will need to emerge the biggest Bollywood film of the year by surpassing Kartik Aaryan starrer, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to emerge a success, given that the stakes involved are high, the Akshay Kumar film will merely have to touch the 85 crore mark to be termed a success venture. "Given the targets for both the films, it's obvious for LSC to get at-least 20 percent better showcasing that Raksha Bandhan. It's a fair division, giving both films enough platform to get the numbers and attain targets," the source shared.

South Korean superstar Park Seo Joon, who rose to global fame due to K-Dramas and starring in the Oscar-winning Korean film Parasite, will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels starring alongside Brie Larson. Rumours are rife that the actor has been cast in the role of Noh-Varr in the sequel.
At San Diego Comic Con 2022, Marvel President Kevin Feige teased the multiverse saga, one can expect the same to happen in The Marvel considering Brie Larson makes a brief appearance in the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel's post credits scene in the finale. With that being said, Noh-Varr was introduced by Grant Morrison in 2000. According to Legend of Comics Geek, "Noh-Varr was a member of the Kree race located in the alternate reality of Earth-200080. He had his DNA altered with cockroach genes to include insectial properties and joined the 18th Kree Diplomatic Gestalt, a peacekeeping group charged with maintaining the cease-fire between that reality's Kree and Skrull races while travelling aboard their ship, the Marvel. However, the ship became lost in the Multiverse, and was then blown out of the sky after reaching Earth-616, leaving Noh-Varr as the sole survivor."

In an interview with The Guardian, Park Seo Joon expressed his feelings and talked about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe film. "When I first heard that the Marvel Cinematic Universe wanted to speak with me, I couldn’t believe it. I actually couldn’t believe it,” the Itaewon Class actor said.
Though he remained tight-lipped over the plot details, he mentioned that he was a bit nervous at first and added, “I’m just trying to be careful with Marvel-related questions. I’m not someone who has a fear of challenges, but whether I am filming in South Korea or abroad, everything is a challenge for me. So, I did feel some nerves at first. But everyone was so helpful and welcoming that I was able to find my feet really quickly.”
On the work front, Park Seo Joon is best known for his starring roles in Korean dramas like Kill Me, Heal Me, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, Fight for My Way, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim and Itaewon Class. He also appeared in films such as Midnight Runners (2017), The Divine Fury (2019) and made a cameo appearance in Oscar-winning dark comedy Parasite.
The actor has wrapped the shoot for his upcoming film, Dream. Park Seo Joon will be appearing in his MCU film The Marvels (2023). He is currently starring in a variety show In The SOOP: Friendcation with his best friends BTS' V, actors Choi Woo Shik and Park Hyung Sik and singer Peakboy.
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus will have a Christmas release worldwide. The entertainer starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jaqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma and a bevy of celebrated actors will arrive towards the end of the year. But, before that, the actor-director will film additional scenes for the film.
According to a report in a daily, Rohit Shetty has arranged a 7-to-10 days' schedule for the patch shoot with the principal cast. Ranveer Singh began shooting on July 21 at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. The schedule will be wrapped up by July end following which post-production begins.
Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar & T-Series presents Cirkus produced and directed by Rohit Shetty. The film is set to release on 23rd December 2022.

Sources close to the project informed Bollywood Hungama that Kartik will be co-starring with either Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone in the true-life soldier’s story which Sajid Nadiadwala , reeling under the triple flop of Tadap, Bachchan Pandey and Heropanti 2 , is producing.
Informs the source, “After a stream of flops, Sajid is looking to change his fortunes with Kartik Aaryan, the current Midas of the box office. Either Katrina or Deepika is likely to be cast opposite Kartik. Katrina is a close friend of director Kabir Khan and she is likely to bag the role.”

A new official trailer has just been released for the upcoming DC sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Debuting at San Diego Comic-Con, the trailer was premiered at Hall H with star Zachary Levi on hand to speak about the film and introduce the video. The trailer is now available to watch online, and you can check it out below.
Back in 2020, we saw the release of the Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, which eventually went on to make a massive impact at the box office as it crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark. Following the release of the film, the COVID-19 pandemic sent nations into lockdown bringing filmmaking and screens to a halt. Now two years later, the film has won Ajay Devgn top honours. In fact, Devgn has been awarded the National Award for Best Actor for his role in Tanhaji.
Ajay Devgn will be sharing his National Award win with Suriya who was also named as a winner for his performance in the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru which was released in 2020 as well. Interestingly, this will not be the first time Ajay was hounoured with the National Award. In fact, the actor had won the Best Actor award back in 1998 for his film Zakhm and later again in 2002 for his film The Legend of Bhagat Singh.

Ranbir Kapoor’s latest release Shamshera is out this week. The actor is in a great space professionally and personally. The actor, who rarely speaks about his personal life, had an interesting revelation to make about himself, during an interview with Harpers Bazaar magazine. The actor spoke about his love for sneakers and not only confessed about how he loves them but also asserted that he would want his kid to follow his footsteps.
Readers are aware that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will soon be welcoming their first child. Talking about how he wants his kids to have the same passion, he has for sneakers, Ranbir revealed about being a ‘sneaker freaker'. He said, “I am a sneaker freaker for sure. They’re the only things I spend money on. But as I’ve grown older, I’m less excited by material things. I’m building a house now and that’s something I’m excited about. So I’m shopping more for furniture and household things. And I’ve stopped buying cars often. The car I’m driving these days is eight years old. And I’m not into jewellery or watches. I’m not really a shopaholic. But sneakers, I will continue to collect because it’s the only kind of footwear I’m comfortable wearing. And hopefully, I will pass these down to my children. My son or daughter, I will try and make them a sneaker freaker, too.”
On the other hand, speaking about his film Shamshera, the film features him alongside Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt for the first time. The YRF film, directed by Karan Malhotra, will feature the actor in a double role released on July 22. Set against the backdrop of 1800s in a fictional town called Kaza, the film talks about a rebel who decides to challenge the authoritarian rule of Shudh Singh.

The much-awaited film Shamshera was released on Friday, July 22. Sadly, its opening has been below expectations. Moreover, the word of mouth has not been very positive and as a result, the film will face a tough time at the box office. All eyes are therefore on next week’s release, Ek Villain Returns. There are several hopes from Mohit Suri’s directorial venture though several expectations were riding on Shamshera as well. Nevertheless, the young crowd might turn up in hordes as the film seems to have a great combo of sex and violence.
Many expected Ek Villain Returns to get an adults-only rating, especially due to Disha Patani’s hot scenes. However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the film with a U/A certificate. The makers however had to make two modifications, one of which is with regards to the dialogues and the other with regards to the visuals.
The CBFC’s examining committee asked for certain terms like ‘Mental’, ‘Kuttiya’, ‘B*tch’, ‘Kamina’ and ‘Harami’ to be removed or replaced with acceptable terms. Secondly, the makers were asked to delete or modify suitably the visuals of killing by a saw blade, visuals of blood and flesh and prominent visuals of mutilated body parts. Even the visuals of intimacy on the butchering table, featuring Disha Patani, that was prominently shown in the trailer, have been either cut or reduced. On the brighter side, only 9 seconds of visuals have been chopped by the Censor board.
After these changes were made, the CBFC handed over the censor certificate yesterday, on July 22. The duration of the film, as mentioned in the censor certificate, is 128.54 minutes. In other words, Ek Villain Returns is 2 hours 8 minutes and 54 seconds long. Interestingly, the first part, Ek Villain (2014), which was also directed by Mohit Suri, also had more or less a similar runtime, of 129 minutes.
Besides Disha Patani, Ek Villain Returns also stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. It will be released in cinemas on July 29.

The story revolves around how a woman gets the opportunity to save the life of a 12-year-old boy who witnessed a death during a thunderstorm, which happened 25 years ago, by getting connected through the television set during a similar storm in the present. This film is the Hindi remake of the 2018 Spanish movie Mirage.

Dobaaraa is scheduled to be released worldwide on August 19. The film marks Kashyap and Pannu's third collaboration after the 2018 hit Manmarziyaan and biographical drama Saand Ki Aankh (2019), on which he served as producer. It also reunites her with Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati. The film is jointly produced by Ektaa Kapoor's Cult Movies, a new division under Balaji Telefilms, and Sunir Kheterpal and Gaurav Bose's banner Athena.
