Last to last night was tough for the family of popular TV actor Shaheer Sheikh. For the unversed, on January 25, 2023, a massive fire broke out in the actor's building. Shaheer Sheikh's wife Ruchika Kapoor took to her verified social media handle and shared the details of the horrific incident. On a long note, Kapoor stated that she was at home with her 16-month-old daughter and parents and at around 1.30 am, she got a call that their building was on fire. However, after a lot of effort, the whole family was evacuated safely. Ruchikaa Kapoor thanked the firefighters and explained the incident in detail. She said that her father is wheelchair-bound while her daughter Anaya is just 16 months old. Given this, it was very difficult to get down the stairs from her 15th-floor apartment. Ruchikaa further added that Shaheer Sheikh and his brother-in-law along with firefighters came to rescue her. After a lot of effort, the whole family was evacuated till 5 in the morning. For the very first time, the actress has posed with her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas for a shoot though her face is hidden.

Malti Marie was born to Nick Jonas and Priyanka in the January of last year but she was kept in NICU for 100 days before the couple to taken her home. In the interview with the magazine, the actress opened up on the premature birth of her daughter. “I was in the OR [operating room] when she came out. She was so small, smaller than my hand,” she said, adding, “I saw what the intensive-care nurses do. They do God’s work. Nick and I were both standing there as they intubated her. I don’t know how they even found what they needed [in her tiny body] to intubate her.”

Priyanka Chopra also spoke about how she opted for surrogacy. Talking to the magazine, she said, “I had medical complications, this was a necessary step, and I’m so grateful I was in a position where I could do this. Our surrogate was so generous, kind, lovely and funny, and she took care of this precious gift for us for six months…You don’t know me, You don’t know what I’ve been through. And just because I don’t want to make my medical history, or my daughter’s, public doesn’t give you the right to make up whatever the reasons were."

On the professional front, the 40-year-old actress has a bunch of projects in the pipeline; Love Again, Citadel (web series), and Ending Things to name a few. She also has a Farhan Akhtar film in her kitty, titled Jee Le Zaraa, which stars Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.

BREAKING! Lakadbaggha sequel to start rolling this year itself

Anshuman Jha-starrer Lakadbaggha released on Friday and the film couldn’t achieve anything significant at the box office. But this isn’t stopping the makers from going ahead with the sequel of the film and starting filming it this year itself.

The news was confirmed by Anshuman himself while sharing his reaction for winning the Best Actor Award for Lakadbaggha at the HBO-backed South Asian International Film Festival in New York. “This now inspires me to train doubly hard for Lakadbaggha Chapter 2. Yes, we will start filming the sequel in September 2023,” said the actor.

Sharing his reaction at winning the award, Anshuman said, “Very grateful to HBO & the entire team of the South Asian International Film Festival, New York, for considering Lakadbaggha (Hyena) worthy of an opening film & recognising my character Arjun Bakshi worthy of the Best Actor Award. I dedicate this award to Irfan (Khan) sir since it was announced after his birthday. Congratulations to Sayani (Gupta) for winning the best female actor (for Homecoming) too. And apologies for this late reaction as I missed their official mail because I have been so busy promoting Lakadbaggha. Glad they reached out on call.”

Directed by Victor Mukherjee, Lakadbaggha is a film about an animal vigilante and it also stars Ridhi Dogra, Milind Soman and Paresh Pahuja.
