Animation reigns supreme this weekend with the new film DC League of Super-Pets landing at the top of the box office. With its debut weekend, the animated feature has scored $23 million, putting it into the top spot at domestic theaters. It pulled in another $18.4 million overseas to garner a total haul of $41.4 million. Projections had called for DC League of Super-Pets to earn $25-30 million domestically, putting the release slightly below expectations.
