Disney's Strange World Set to Lose More Than $100 Million After Flopping at Box Office

November 27, 2022

The animated feature Strange World didn't have the strongest showing in theaters with its Thanksgiving weekend premiere. At the end of the weekend, the film is looking at a domestic haul of $18.6 million, a number that's considerably low for a big-budget animated movie from Disney. Deadline reports that with production and marketing costs reaching $274 million for the production, Disney is set to lose nearly $150 million with the film's box office shortcomings.
