Not every movie needs a sequel, and Elf director Jon Favreau seems to feel that his hit holiday comedy starring Will Ferrell might be best left alone. Back in 2003, Elf was released in movie theaters to incredible success, scoring critical praise and huge profits at the box office. Given annual viewings by fans every year during the holiday season, it's been clear for years that Elf is up there as one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time.
