However, according to Deadline, the latest numbers show the new Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise team-up has a legitimate chance to reach $240 million worldwide. But it doesn't appear the sequel will hit Paramount Pictures' $90-million projection for the film’s five-day weekend domestically. Rather, it’s more likely that the new Mission: Impossible will take in about $78 million in the United States.
