Tree Made Famous in Kevin Costner's Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Cut Down In Act of Vandalism

September 29, 2023

A seemingly ordinary tree in the north of England has caused quite a stir in the last few days, when it was discovered to have cut down in what has been described as a “deliberate act of vandalism.” The tree in question was a sycamore tree found in Northumberland National Park, situated on the ancient Roman structure of Hadrian’s Wall. While the site itself is extremely picturesque, and a favorite site for weddings and other photo opportunities, it is probably most famous for being one of the filming locations for Kevin Costner movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
