Following the resolution of the actors' strike, Superman: Legacy has been making headlines with its growing cast. DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn, who is also writing and directing the film, recently confirmed that a majority of the cast had been secured prior to the strikes and shared his perspective on fan casting. During a Q&A session with fans on Threads, Gunn mentioned that he occasionally checks out fan suggestions online when casting roles, even if they haven't been considered by him or his casting team. However, he clarified that such fan recommendations have seldom resulted in actual casting decisions. Gunn wrote:
