Director Gil Kenan, who co-wrote the 2021 Ghostbusters legacy sequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife alongside Jason Reitman, has revealed that he is bringing in some new mythology for next year’s chilly sequel, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Speaking with Empire, who have also unveiled a new image of Bill Murray as Dr. Peter Venkman coming face-to-face with Paul Rudd’s Gary Grooberson, Kenan declares that we are now leaving the previous movies behind and entering “the post-Gozerian era of the Ghostbusters saga.”
