It wouldn't be the start of awards season announcements without surprises, and the Golden Globes nominations have delivered just that. The nominations, presented today by Cedric "The Entertainer" and Wilmer Valderrama, were unsurprisingly dominated by Barbenheimer; Greta Gerwig's Barbie led the pack with nine nods, while Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer secured eight nominations. Martin Scorsese's epic The Killers of the Flower Moon and Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things each earned seven nominations. Gerwig, Nolan, Scorsese, and Lanthimos all earned Best Director nominations, along with Bradley Cooper for Maestro and Celine Song for Past Lives.
